Phantom

“Do you understand me, Special Agent?”

She just stared at me with that same bestial black stare. She’s in there…just keep going. A shudder tore through her body. It was more than a tremble, deeper than a quake…it was like something was born inside her.

Not born…more like reborn. But Carina was in there, screaming and howling like her own beast. Desperation burned in me. I had to save her, had to tether Chaos to me…I had to make her love me.

There was a twitch at the corner of her mouth before her head dropped backwards and a ravening chuckle slipped out. The deep, guttural sound resounded off the walls to dance along my skin, then moved deeper, into the furthest reaches of my mind…where the beast waited. I winced as my Wolf growled, then panted in response, but I kept my focus on her.

“No.”

“No?” I lashed out, grabbed her arm, and dragged her close until I towered over her. “What part of I’m the goddamn Alpha, don’t you understand, female?”

Her lips were pale under the green Unseelie hue, perfect and so goddamn pale. I slid my thumb across the flesh, watching as her mouth opened for me as she answered. "She can’t have you.”

“She can’t have me?”

The glint in her eyes shimmered as Chaos whispered. “Because you’re mine.”

The battle still raged inside her, an unseen war of possession I couldn’t see, but still, I had to try to help her. Make Chaos bond with me…that’s what Mojin had said, right? Make an Unseelie creature hungry for a damn Wolf. Sure.

She kissed my calloused thumb and slowly took it into her mouth.

Make her want me?

“I’m yours, am I, mortal?” I growled as she took my thumb deeper, sucking and licking, her tongue dancing around the tip making my cock harden in an instant. She knew what she was doing…knew the kind of temptation she possessed.

Church let out an agonizing groan and looked away, but the damage was already done. I was more aware of them now, and so was she. She sucked and licked, over and over, deeper and deeper, until I grasped her wrist. She wanted control, wanted to be in charge, and never once took her gaze from mine.

Her tongue stilled against my thumb, leaving me to pull it free of her mouth. Spittle came with it, the long, thin string reminding me of something else I wanted in there, wanted it sliding down the back of her throat, wanted it glistening on her lips. Stay in control.
